Batting first, Peshawar Zalmi revived their inning after losing an early wicket of Tamim Iqbal in the second over off a delivery by Aamer Yamin.
Mohammad Hafeez came in at number three to join Opener Kamran Akmal on the crease. He scored 13 runs off 18 deliveries. He was bowled out by leg-spinner Yasir Shah.
Kamran Akmal’s 58-run off 40 deliveries were the main contribution to this decent total by Zalmi. He was also stumped off by a ball by Yasir Shah after Hafeez.
Shakib Al Hassan was the second best scorer, who contributed 30 runs off 24 deliveries. He was caught out by Umar Akmal off a delivery by Sohail Tanveer.
Lahore Qalandars batting lineup was shaken badly after ameron Delport’s fantastic inning ended on 32 runs by Hasan Ali in the 3rd over.
In a fiery start, Cameron Delport hit 7 fours and scored 32 runs off just 15 deliveries.
The next five batsmen couldn’t enter into double figures. Fakhar Zaman and Grant Elliot went out for ducks.
Sunil Narine and Aamer Yamin’s 45-run partnership on the 7th proved to be a light of hope for Qalandars.
At the end, Sohail Tanveer and Yasir Shah struggled to save the match and built 55-run partnership for the 9th wicket. Sohail Tanveer the top-scorer by the side with 36 runs on board.
Peshawar Zalmi’s Shakib Al Hasan was declared Man of the Match for taking two important wickets of Umar Akmal and Grant Elliot. He also contributed 30 runs to Zalmi’s inning.
