ISLAMABAD - Nawaz Sharing breaks silence over the Accountability Court expected verdict against him.
Hours before the accountability court is expected to announce its verdict in the two remaining corruption references against Nawaz Sharif, the deposed prime minister showed confidence saying that there was nothing in the cases the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had filed against him.
The Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) quaid said that he had no fear regarding the verdict as he has served the nation with absolute honesty, local media reported. He said that he has no fear and his conscience is clear. The ex-premier added that ‘there isn’t much in the cases’.
Nawaz also bashed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government and said that the party had ‘sabotaged the Pakistan’s journey towards prosperity’.
Meanwhile, a day before, Nawaz’s daughter Maryam Nawaz took to her twitter handle, after months of silence, and shared a picture of her father and mother Kulsoom Nawaz. “The last time I saw HER [Kulsoon Nawaz] was in the coffin. The last time I saw HIM [Nawaz] smile was with HER. May Allah have mercy on both of you. Ameen,” she tweeted/
