PTI government identifies 44,000 kanals of public land for alternate use

ISLAMABAD - Federal Minister for Defence Pervaiz Khattak chaired a meeting of working group on alternative use of public properties at Ministry of Housing and Works in Islamabad on Monday.

The minister was briefed on location and status of various public properties and their alternative use.

The working group was briefed about its latest development and achievements. The group has managed to identify more than forty-four thousand kanals of the land for effective utilization including high rise residential buildings, rest houses and commercial properties.

The Minister asked for a comprehensive report of the achievements of the working group which will be presented to Prime Minister and the Cabinet.

The working group has successfully identified and planned almost all the public properties for their effective use. The Minister said all the lands will be utilized either through public private partnership, BoT, outsourcing or any other means according to the prevailing laws, which will ensure revenue generation and effective use of public land.
