PM Imran Khan issues important instructions to Foreign Office

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has issued important instructions to the Foreign office on Friday.
He on Friday made his maiden visit at the Foreign Office (FO) in Islamabad.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua welcomed the premier.
FO authorities gave a detailed briefing to PM Khan over the foreign policy of the country, relations with several countries including US and India, global and regional issues.
The Prime Minister provided guidelines to the FO authorities on the foreign policy of the country. He maintained that Pakistan wants relations with all the countries at the level of equality.
PM Khan stressed that the foreign policy should be independent and as per the public aspirations.
He directed to highlight the stance of Pakistan on international levels for which the embassies have to play a much active role.
PM Khan is scheduled to preside over second meeting of the federal cabinet today which will discuss future strategy of the new government in different spheres of life.
During the meeting, finance ministry officials will brief Imran Khan over the economic issues of the country.
The federal cabinet is expected to approve annulations of Ministry of Capital Administration and Development (CAD) and will recommend putting institutions under it in Cabinet division, informed sources.
