Pakistani man evacuated in emergency from desert by UAE Rescue plane

DUBAI- A man was airlifted by the National Search and Rescue Centre (NSRC) from Swaihan desert on Monday.
The 35-year-old Pakistani national had suffered severe injuries after a motorcycle accident in Al Ain, Khaleej Times has reported.
The operations room at the NSRC had received a tipoff at 4pm that a man was stuck in Swaihan desert near Al Ajban area.
He had fallen in an area filled with dunes that was difficult to access by land-ambulatory vehicles.
A search and rescue plane was dispatched for the emergency medical evacuation.
He was airlifted to Mafraq Hospital in Abu Dhabi for immediate medical assistance.
