PESHAWAR: Member Provincial Assembly from PTI, Ziaullah Afridi here Monday submitted a resolution in the provincial assembly secretariat demanding resignation from Chief Minister, Pervez Khattak over corruption charges.
In his resolution, Ziaullah Afridi stated that former DG Ehtesab Commission Khyber Pakhtukhwa, General Retired Hamid Khan had leveled serious allegations against the Chief Minister KP.
He said that no state institution initiated any case against Pervez Khattak on the charges of corruption in mineral sector of KP leveled by the former DG Ehtesab Commission KP.
It speaks of the clear proof that KP Ehtesab Commission was working under the influence of provincial government and was being used against its political opponents.
The resolution further stated that this assembly demanded of the provincial government and party chairman Imran Khan to direct DG Ehtesab Commission Brig. Retd. Sajjad to initiate proper inquiry against the KP CM in mines leasing case, so that justice prevailed and made visible to everyone in the province.
The PTI lawmaker opined that as per the constitution of the party and vision of the PTI chief Imran Khan no accused could hold an administrative office untill he was cleared of the charges by an independent Ehtesab Commission. (APP)
