Turk Consul General meets CM Shehbaz Sharif

LAHORE: (APP) First Consul General of Turkey appointed in Lahore Serdar Deniz met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif here on Thursday and discussed matters of mutual interest and promotion of Pak-Turk relations.

The chief minister congratulated the Turk Consul General on his appointment in Lahore and said Pakistan and Turkey are tied in historical brotherly relations and hearts of people of both the countries beat together.

He said that government and people of Turkey had supported Pakistan in every hour of distress and people of Pakistan proud their friendship with Turkey.

He said the coup foiled by people of Turkey under the dynamic leadership of great leader Racep Tayyip Erdogan was unprecedented in history.

He said tanks no longer stood before the power of Turk people and people of Turkey defended democracy successfully with courage and bravery.

Shehbaz Sharif said ties between Turkey and Pakistan were touching new heights and social and trade friendship will further enhance in the coming days.

Speaking on the occasion, Turk Consul General Serdar Deniz said Turkey attached great importance to its bonds with Pakistan.

He said that Turk leadership and people also appreciate unprecedented capabilities of Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
