LAHORE (APP): Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday said that Pakistan Muslim League-N government was implementing a revolutionary strategy for promoting agriculture and providing relief to small cultivators.
The CM expressed these remarks during a meeting with Federal Minister for National Food Security, Sikandar Hayat Bosan who met him here.

Agriculture development and programmes for prosperity of small farmers were discussed during the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that under this strategy, implementation on programme of provision of interest free loans to the farmers had been started and interest free loans of billions of rupees would be provided to small farmers first time in the history of the country.
He said that historic Kisan Package of 100 billion rupees would leave a revolutionary impact on development of agriculture sector.

He said that Kisan Packages of federal and Punjab governments were an important step towards green revolution.
He said that farmers were benefiting from electricity tariff and subsidy on agriculture equipments and fertilizers. He said that small cultivator would be enabled to stand on his own feet.
