Maryam Nawaz Sharif faces a big setback
LAHORE - Accountability court on Wednesday rejected the plea of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz seeking permission to meet his father, former premier Nawaz Sharif.
According to details, the court rejected Maryam's plea to meet Nawaz Sharif who is in hospital owing to his detriorating healt condition.
On October 21, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was shifted to Services Hospital Lahore for medical examination and treatment after his condition deteriorated with a sudden drop in his platelet count.
According to a National Accountability Bureau spokesperson Nawaz was tested for dengue fever at the hospital, but the test results came back negative.
On the other hand, PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal stated that when incarcerated Nawaz was brought to Lahore’s Services Hospital, his platelets have decreased to below 10000-level.
