NAB Court orders to freeze all assets of Ishaq Dar
ISLAMABAD: The Accountability Court Monday ordered to freeze the assets possessed by Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on a request by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in corruption reference of assets beyond known sources of income.

The NAB Chairman froze the assets of the finance minister and requested the NAB court to corroborate the step. The court gave a go-ahead to the step and issued a notice to the minister to this effect.

During today’s proceedings, the witnesses of the prosecution –Abdul Rahman and Masood-ul-Ghani— submitted the details of Dar’s bank accounts.

Abdul Rahman said he has two sacks full of record. The court summoned the two witnesses again in the next hearing. The court issued summons for two other witnesses i.e. Faisal Shahzad and Muhammed Azeem to testify before the court on October 30.

The NAB prosecutor and the finance minister’s lawyer Khawaja Haris continued to spar with each other in the course of proceedings.

The court adjourned the hearing till October 30.
