KABUL - Ghazni officials said the policemen were killed in Waghiz district on Sunday night after Taliban fighters attacked a security check post.
At least four policemen were killed in a Taliban attack on a security check post in central Ghazni province on Sunday night, local police confirmed on Monday.
In addition, two other policemen were wounded.
The attack took place in Waghiz district of the province after Taliban insurgents attacked the police check post and clashed with security forces, provincial police chief Mohammad Zaman said.
“The Taliban also suffered casualties in the clash but there is no exact information,” Zaman said adding that the insurgents retreated after the attack.
