ISLAMABAD – Twitter has suspended the account of terrorist organisation Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) on Pakistan government request.
The account was suspended after the group claimed responsibility for the terror bid in Karachi.
The social networking site took down the Twitter handle after the militant group uploaded pictures of three attackers who targeted the Chinese consulate tucked in the southern metropolis of Pakistan.
This is not the first time BLAS has claimed responsibility for terror attacks in the country but calls by Twitterati to suspend the account of the group could be the core reason behind the suspension which was long-overdue.
Earlier, in August, the group had confirmed that one of its suicide bombers Rehan Baloch targeted a bus carrying employees of Saindak Copper-Gold Project in Dalbandin.
Moreover, Allah Nazar Baloch link, the leader of BLA kept on spewing venom and hatred against Pakistan on Twitter through his handle @DrAllahNizar – an account which is now deactivated on Twitter.
