PML-N to take action against over two dozen MNAs absent from NA during voting process

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided to take action against 20 MNAs for being absent from the National Assembly during the voting for a constitutional amendment allowing Nawaz Sharif to be party head.

As per decision, show-cause notices will be issued to the absent MNAs.

Only three MNAs were on sick leave, while 20 did not participate in the voting deliberately.

Those who will be issued the show-cause notices include Rana Umar Nazir, Tahir Iqbal, Tahir Bashir Cheema, Sultan Mahmood, Sarzameen Khan, Alamdad Laleka, Muhammad Nazir Khan, Khawaja Asif, Khusru Bakhtiar, Nisar Jatt, Asma Mamadot, Raza Hayat Hiraj, Qasim Noon, Bilal Virk, Basit Bukhari, Khalid Hussain Magsi, Mir Dostain Domki, Jaffar Khan Leghari, Arifa Khalid and Matloob Mehdi.

Moreover, Federal Minister for National Food Security Sikandar Hayat Bosan also did not cast his vote.
