PM Nawaz Sharif asks President to reject mercy petition of APS Peshawar culprits.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif recommended the President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain to reject the mercy petitions of four convicted terrorist who were involved in Army Public School attacks. PM Nawaz said “The brutal and merciless killings of our children convinced us that the perpetrators of such crimes do not deserve any mercy,” a statement issued by the prime minister’s office quoted him as saying. All four culprit have been convicted by a military court and awarded death sentences but they filed a mercy appeals in president office. In August, Eight terrorist had found a guilty in military trial court who were involved in APS attacks and Safoora Chowrangi incident. “The army chief has confirmed that eight terrorists were trial under the Pakistan Army Act 2015,” the ISPR had said. After the Army Public School attacks government decided to take a solid action against terrorism. Military courts was set up to prosecute the terrorist cases according to National Action Plan.
