Saudi Arabia government announced Eid ul Fitr 2020

ISLAMABAD - Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in Saudi Arabia and across Middle East on Sunday, May 24. As Shawwal 1441 AH moon has not Sighted.

According to the statement issued, the 30th fast will be observed in Saudi Arabia tomorrow, Saturday, while Eid-ul-Fitr will be observed on Sunday, May 24.

Earlier, the astronomical center of Saudi Arabia link Al-Majma’ah University had said that it was not possible to see the Eid-ul-Fitr moon on Friday.

Eid-ul-Fitr holidays in Saudi Arabia will start on Thursday 21st Ramadan 1441 AH after completing duty and offices will be reopen from Sunday 8th Shawwal. The Ministry of Manpower had informed about the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays related to private companies that they will have 4 days of Eid-ul-Fitr holidays which will start after completing the duty of 29 Ramadan.

It is to be noted that the Saudi Arabia government has announced a 24-hour curfew during Eid-ul-Fitr days across the country in view of the increasing cases of Coronavirus. The Saudi Arabia government has extended a partial curfew in the kingdom until May 22. According to a statement issued by the Interior Ministry, citizens of different areas, including Makkah, will be given conditional permission to leave their homes from 9 am to 5 pm.

Interior Ministry of Saudi Arabia stated that complete curfew will be imposed across the country from May 23 (the 30th fast) to May 27, during which no citizen will be allowed to leave the house.
