The plane had 99 people on board and Sindh Health Department officials said two passengers, Zubair and Zafar Masood, survived the crash, while 97 were confirmed dead.

Zara Abid was a rising star of the Pakistani fashion industry and this year she won the Best Family Model award at the Hum Style Awards.

She worked with almost all the leading designers of the industry and started her career with Sana Safi Naz while she was about to make her big screen debut with Azeem Sajjad’s film Chaudhry.

People are paying homage to Zara Abid on social media and she was described as a great and hardworking star.

Actress Ayesha Omar wrote in her post” Zara and I won our biggest awards this year, together, at the Hum style awards, in January. That was the last time I met her and the only time I got to really connect with her. It was me who presented the award to her, along with the two Tariqs.

She was weeping with joy on stage when she received her award and I remember hugging her tightly and saying baby, you deserve this so much. She was too overwhelmed with emotion, to talk much on stage.”
