Malaysian PM Mahatir Mohammad unveiled strategy to further cement ties with Pakistan
ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister of Malaysia Dr Mahathir Mohamad has emphasized the need for promoting people-to-people contacts and encouraging tourism between Pakistan and Malaysia to further bolster friendship and knowledge between the two countries.
In an interview with PTV, he said both the countries have greater trade and investment potential and it is required to identify the factors to improve the trade relations in areas where the investment can be made.
He said Pakistan has successfully eliminated the menace of terrorism and now heading towards stability. He said peace and stability within the country is absolutely essential for promotion of tourism and attracting investment.
About Islam, the Prime Minister of Malaysia said that Islam is the religion of peace and teaches us not to fight or kill each other and avoid any kind of violence. He said we have to convey these teachings of Islam to the entire world.
