French female Daesh fighter arrested in Afghanistan

KABUL - Afghan security forces captured a French woman allegedly linked with Daesh or IS group during a ground and air operation that resulted in the killing of six fighters in Darzab district of northern Jawzjan province, the Ministry of Defense said on Friday.
The MoD tweeted the French woman was detained during the operation against Daesh in the district. The ministry offered no further details about the detained woman, Pakhwok has reported.
The ministry said two motorcycles, one computer, three mobile phone sets and some documents were also confiscated by the security forces.
Rumors about the presence of foreign nationals in Daesh ranks particularly of French citizens in Jawzjan province have been prevalent.
