Pakistan Navy warship arrives at middle eastern port

KARACHI – Pakistan Navy Ship ‘ASLAT’ recently arrived at Salalah Port in Oman, 1,100 Kilometers South of Muscat, on a goodwill visit.

The vessel is operating under the ‘Regional Maritime Security Patrol’ (RMSP) initiative aimed at ensuring presence along critical chokepoints to fulfill international obligations for Maritime Security Operations while maintaining a robust security posture at strategic points within Pakistani waters.

The Commanding Officer Captain Shafiqur Rahman met Commanding Officer Salalah Naval Unit and Commander 11 Infantry Brigade and discussed matters of common interest and conveyed greetings from Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mehmood Abbasi to his counterpart Rear Admiral Abdullah Al Raisi and Royal Navy of Oman.

A Diplomatic Reception onboard the visiting ship was hosted on June 17th by Commanding Officer Captain Rahman to mark the visit.

Representatives from Sultan Armed Forces and Pakistani community participated in the event, whereas Deputy Head of Mission Salman Athar and Defense Attache Captain Rizwan Ali Munawwar represented the Embassy of Pakistan.
