Indian Police arrest the leaders in IOK

ISLAMABAD, Jun 23 (APP): Indian Police arrest the leaders in IOK

Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir (TeH) has strongly denounced the continued house arrest and illegal detention of its leaders in their houses and different police stations in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).

The TeH in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the puppet authorities continued to put the party leader, Peer Saifullah, under house arrest for the past three days, KMS reported.

It said that the authorities had detained other leaders including Syed Imtiyaz Haider, Fayyaz Ahmed Daas, Aashiq Hussain Narchor, Shabbir Ahmed Baba, Aadil Ahmed Waggey, Ishfaq Ahmed Kotwal, Faizan Hakeem, Daniyal and Mushtaq Ahmed Harra in different police stations.

The statement said that Indian police had shifted Shakeel Ahmed Thokar to some undisclosed destination and his family members had serious apprehensions about his safety.

The TeH statement termed the detentions as political vendetta. It said that such pressure tactics had failed to suppress the resolve of Kashmiri people to continue their liberation struggle during the past over sixty seven years and would meet the same fate in the future as well. It said that the ongoing freedom movement would be continued till it reached its logical conclusion.
