Turkey says it will take counter-steps if the United States imposes sanctions over Ankara’s purchase of Russian S-400 missile defense systems.
In an interview with TV channel, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in case Turkey doesn’t get F-35 jets from United States, Ankara would meet its needs from other sources until it produces its own.
He said any such sanctions would be unacceptable.
The delivery of S-400 components began in last month and is set to continue through April next year.
