Govt sets target of 55,000MW power generation by 2030

Minister for Energy Omar Ayub Khan says the government has set a target of 55,000 megawatt power generation by 2030 out of which 18,000MW power generation will be generated from renewable resources.
He informed it while inaugurating TSG training Simulator at Technical Services Group of National Transmission and Despatch Company, in Lahore.
The project has been completed with cooperation of Japan International Cooperation Agency at a cost of one billion rupees.
The Minister said security lines of energy would be controlled and Pakistan would not be dependent on other countries after establishment of Simulator.
