DUBAI: Quetta Gladiators defeated Karachi Kings by six wickets in the 15th match of the Pakistan Super League 2017 on Thursday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Asad Shafiq and Ahmad Shahzad's fifties led to an easy win for the Gladiators as they chased down 155-run target set by Karachi Kings.
Karachi Kings could only post 154 runs on a good batting track against Quetta Gladiators in the 15th match of the Pakistan Super League 2017.
Babar Azam (36) and captain Kumar Sangakkara (28) managed to give Kings a brisk start but both departed after powerplay as the Gladiators fought back in the match.
Out-of-form Chris Gayle was unable to keep the momentum as Kings continued to lose wickets in the middle overs.
Gayle’s stay at the crease ended after scoring just 29 runs off 34 balls. Shoaib Malik also scored just 9 runs from 9 balls.
Keron Pollard tried to put some impetus into the innings as he scored 31 runs off 19 balls. Ravi Bopara could only score 1 runs.
For Gladiators, Mahmudullah picked up three vital wickets, Anwar Ali got two while Mir Hamza chipped in with one.
