Twelve terrorists of LeJ and Al-Qada in Subcontinent killed in encounters with Karachi Police




KARACHI: 12 alleged terrorists of Al-Qaeda in Subcontinent and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi LeJ were killed by Law Enforcement Agencies and Police in Pipri and Gudap Town areas of Karachi here at Monday and Police recovered suicide jackets from their possessions.

 

As per details, Police and Law Enforcement Agencies conducted joint operation in Pipri and killed 8 terrorists. SSP Rao Anwar said that Police and law enforcement agencies conducted operation in Pipri on the identification of arrested terrorists Naeem Bukhari and Farooq Bhutti.

 

When police conducted raid on house situated in Pipri, the terrorists started indiscriminate firing on police team and attacked on police with hand grenades. Further teams of police were called and conducted operations in area while 8 terrorists were killed in exchange of fires.

 

SSP Rao added that 2 policemen also sustained critical injuries in exchange firing and they were shifed to nearby hospital for medical treatment. 

 

Rao Anwar claimed that 5 terrorists out of 8 were identified as Sohail, Bilal, Khalil, Talha and Abdul Salam who were involved in heinous crimes including terrorist activities while several cases were filed against them in different Police Stations. Headmoney of all these terrorists had been set by Sindh government.

 

Rao Anwar further stated that 4 accomplices of terrorists managed to escape from the scene by taking advantage of darkness during operation in Pipri. Police chased the fleeing terrorists and restrained them near Gudap Town.

 

4 Terrorists started firing on police team while Police strongly respond the firing and killed the terrorists on spot.
