More than 285 seminaries in Pakistan identified for receiving funding from foreign countries

ISLAMABAD: Interior Ministry said that more than 285 seminaries in Pakistan are receiving funds and other support like training of teachers and curriculum development from foreign Muslim countries. As per details, 147 madrassas in Punjab, 95 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 30 in Baluchistan, 12 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and one in Sindh is getting foreign funding. The funding and other support is being provided by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Iran, Turkey and Iraq.
