Federal Cabinet to abolish unnecessary ministry in its second meeting on Friday: Sources

*ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan has convened a meeting of the federal cabinet tomorrow in Islamabad.*

*Federal government will** approve abolishment of the Ministry of Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD), sources said.*

The Ministry of CADD was introduced by Pakistan Peoples Party government’s Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani. The ministry has got administrative control of the Capital Development Authority, 422 educational institutes, hospitals in the federal territory.

Now the educational institutes will go to the Ministry of Education and the healthcare ones to the Ministry of Health, while the CDA will go to the Cabinet Division.

The cabinet ministers are advised to ensure their presence in the meeting as some crucial decisions are expected tomorrow, the sources said.

They said the premier will be given briefing on money laundering and measurements to bring back looted money will be deliberated at the forum. Steps to implement ‘the 100-day plan’ would also be reviewed.

Finance Minister Asad Umer will brief the meeting on economic condition of the country.
