Anti India protests held in occupied Kashmir

ISLAMABAD: In occupied Kashmir, scores of people were injured after Indian paramilitary forces used brute force and fired pellets on pro-freedom protesters in Srinagar, Islamabad Sopore, Kupwara, Palahan and other areas.
The Indian forces fired pellets and teargas shells on Nimazis at Eidgah and Dargah Hazratbal in Srinagar, Achajipora and Janglat Mandi in Islamabad, Sopore, Palhalan and Kupwara areas, Kashmir Media Service reported on Wednesday.

The protesters shouted high-pitched slogans, We Want Freedom, Go India Go back and pro-Pakistan slogans in Srinagar, Bandipore, Hajin, Bijbehara, Kulgam, Islamabad, Shopian, Pulwama, Tral, Ganderbal, Kangan, Qazigund, Kupwara, Handwara, Langate. Baramulla, Patten, Budgam, Chadoora and other areas of the territory.

Thousands of people after Eid prayers led a march and shouted pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan slogans and hoisted Pakistan flag in Kishtwar town.
On the other hand, the 89-year-old APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani has spend his 20th Eid in a row inside his home in Hyderpora in Srinagar and was disallowed by authorities from stepping outside his house.

Hurriyet leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Massarat Aalam Butt, Sayeda Asiya Andarbi, Fehmeeda Sofi, Naheeda Nasreen, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Ayaz Akbar, Mehraj-ud-Din Kalwal, Shahid-ul-Islam, Peer Saifullah, Bitta Karate, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori and hundreds of Hurriyet leaders and youth are under illegal detention in different jails in Jammu region and in India’s infamous Tihar Jail in Delhi.

Meanwhile, unidentified gunmen killed one Shabir Ahmad Bhat at Pathan in Pulwama while a Special Police Officer was killed in an attack in Awgam area of Kulgam district.
