In occupied Kashmir, members of civil society staged a strong protest in Kishtwar town against India’s plans to abrogate Article 35A of its Constitution to change demographic composition of the territory.

A large number of people and civil society activists participated in the protest held in front of district court complex.

The protesters asked India to stop its designs to change the demography of disputed Jammu and Kashmir and resolve Kashmir dispute peacefully.

Meanwhile, a Delhi court has denied bail to Secretary Genral All Parties Hurriyat Conference Shabbir Ahmed Shah, who has been illegally detained at Tihar Jail.
