Senior Afghan Taliban Commander killed in Afghanistan

KABUL - A Senior Afghan Taliban Commander has been killed in Afghanistan, Afghan security forces have claimed.

The security forces killed the shadow district chief of Taliban for Zari district of Balkh province during a clash on Saturday.

The 209th Shaheen Corps said in a statement a group of Taliban militants clashed with the security forces at around 8:45 pm on Saturday night, Khaama Press has reported.

The statement further added that the security forces responded to the attack killing Mawlavi Gul Ahmad alias Abuzar, the shadow district chief of Taliban for Zari.
