Young doctors go on strike across government hospitals in Lahore against sexual harassment of a lady doctor

*LAHORE - Young doctors Association is back on strike again this time over the issue of sexual harassment of a lady doctor inside the hospital.*
*Young doctors went on strike at various public sector hospitals in Lahore on Saturday to protest against the sexual harassment of a female doctor in a Rahim Yar Khan hospital.*
Doctors boycotted outdoor patients departments (OPDs) of the city’s hospitals, adding to misery of patients. However, medical officers are discharging duties at the emergency and other wards as per the routine.
Doctors at the District Headquarter Hospital, Vehari also observed strike, calling for measures to ensure the safety of lady doctors at health facilities across the province.
According to reports, a lady doctor after performing duties at the emergency ward of a medical facility in Rahim Yar Khan, went to take a nap in another room, when a sanitary worker followed her in and tried to sexually assault her.
