JUI - F Chief Fazalur Rahman faces a big setback over Azadi March

ISLAMABAD - Jamaat Ahle Sunnat Pakistan has opposed the Azadi March of JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman.

While addressing a press conference today, member provincial assembly of PML-N, Mian Jalil Sharaqpuri along with other members declared Maulana’s March against a threat to national sovereignty.

They stated that instead of staging a sit-in, people should express their solidarity with the people of Kashmir.

“Pakistan is currently facing internal and external security. Azadi March will further spread chaos and sectarianism,” the members said.

Sahibzada Hamid Raza said that they will not let madrassahs be used for political purposes.

“We welcome Prime Minister’s announcement address our reservations regarding madrassahs reforms,” he said.

Mian Jalil Sharaqpuri said that his madrassas will not be part of Azadi March.

It should be noted that Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the head of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), has announced an anti-government march and sit-in on October 27. Maulana’s Azadi March has full support from PML-N and PPP.
