Captain (R) Safdar faces the heat, devoid of any class in Jail

LAHORE – A local court sent Capt (retd) Safdar to jail for 14 days for making a provocative speech on Tuesday.

The court rejected the police request for the physical remand of the accused.

Meanwhile, Capt (retd) Safdar has submitted an application, through his counsel Farhad Ali Shah, for bail.

The counsel stated that the arrest of his client is illegal. “According to the allegations leveled by the police, the case does not come under the Punjab police. The police have leveled the allegation of an anti-government video that went viral. It is a cyber crime case,” he said.

He demanded that his client should be released after declaring his arrest null and void. Sources said that Capt (retd) Safdar would not be given the facility of any class.
