Iranian top official makes an offer over joint Pakistan Iran border security

TEHRAN – Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli made a telephone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart shehryar Afridi on Saturday.

He has called for suppression of terrorists' bastion along Iran-Pakistan borders.

The Iranian military and security forces are ready to jointly cooperate with Pakistani security forces to maintain security of Iran-Pakistan joint borders, he said.

Referring to friendly ties between Iran and Pakistan, Rahmani Fazli called for providing enough facilities for Pakistani pilgrims who are to cross Iran borders to Iraq for Arbaeen religious ceremony.

Pakistani interior minister, for his part, said Pakistan spares no effort to help release Iranian border guards kidnapped by terrorists.

'We are profoundly upset by recent terrorist operation,' he said, adding that they will do their best to resolve the issue and expressed the hope that such dastardly measures never severe ties between the two countries.

Pakistani patrol planes closely monitor the suspects and have very close cooperation with Iranian forces.
