Sabika Sheikh to be buried on Wednesday

ISLAMABAD: Sabika Sheikh will be laid to rest on Wednesday.
Body of the 17-year-old student from Karachi will reach Pakistan on Wednesday. Her funeral prayers will be offered at Hakeem Saeed Ground and she will be buried at Azeempura graveyard in Shah Faisal Colony.
The exchange student was killed in the Santa Fe High School shooting along with nine others on May 18.
A funeral service was held for the student in Houston city of Texas state on May 19 where members of the Pakistani community and US Congress were present. A US flag was presented to the family of Sabika Sheikh as a sign of condolence by the Congress.
Her body was shifted to Pakistan on Monday by Pakistan’s Consul General in Houston Aisha Farooqui.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi paid a visit to the home of Sabika Sheikh to condole with the family over the death. Chiefs of Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Imran Khan have also expressed their grief.
The shooter was identified as Dimitrios Pagourtzis. He confessed his crime during a hearing of the case and filed a bail application, which was rejected. APP
