Although Donald Trump was not invited at Royal wedding, he still has a gift for Couple

NEW DELHI - There may have been a galaxy of famous faces in the congregation today, but were also a few famous omissions on the royal wedding guestlist.

Not to mention a few “snubs” from the main event and evening reception too…

Theresa May didn’t make the cut to any part of the wedding, and to a lot of people’s surprise, neither did the Obamas.

Perhaps coming slightly less as a shock was the fact that Donald Trump didn’t make the final cut.

Of the decision to not invite statesmen, A Kensington Palace spokesman said: “It has been decided that an official list of political leaders – both UK and international – is not required for Prince Harry and Ms Markle’s wedding.

“Her Majesty’s Government was consulted on this decision, which was taken by The Royal Household.”

Then there’s the fact that Meghan has been famously outspoken about the President in the past – as well as some unsavoury comments Trump himself once made about the Duchess of Cambridge.

Still, POTUS is apparently not taking it too personally, and has a gift for Meghan and Harry.

Given that they’re probably OK for dinner sets and John lewis vouchers, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (as they’re now known) asked for donations to be made in lieu of gifts to their seven chosen charities.

The Trump family “will be making a contribution to one of the seven charities the royal couple has designated in lieu of gifts,” White House deputy press secretary Lindsay Walters told Daily Mail .

There’s no word on how much the donation will be, but at least it’s not pair of salad tongs.
