Pak Army Angor Adda Check Post handed over to Afghanistan

RAWALPINDI: DG ISPR Maj. Gen. Asim Bajwa said that Angor Adda Check Post located near Pak-Afghan border has been handed over to Afghan government here at today.


DG ISPR said in his tweet message that check post has been given to Afghan authorities to improve the brotherly relations of both countries and he hoped that both countries ties would further improve due to this step of Pakistan.


He added that both sides agreed to resolve border management issues peacefully and consultation while this step has been taken to improve border management.


It is also worthy to mention here that Angor Adda check post is located between Pakistan area South Waziristan and Afghan Province Pakteka and it has a lot of militant importance.


Afghan militants used this area to attack in Pakistan but militants acts had reduced after taking control of this check post by Pak Army. A terminal gate had also been set up here with the cost of Rs. 4 crore in order to monitor the luggage of people coming from Afghanistan.
