PESHAWAR: The billion tsunami tree campaign is continuing across the province by KPK government as Imran Khan kicked off drive of “One Tree One Life” programme on the occasion of World Forest Day.

 

As per details, District administration of Rege Lamma Town area of Peshawar has been given a task to plant 1 million tree. Imran Khan also took part in the programme by planting a tree at the occasion.

 

A large number of students were also present at the occasion to mark the International Day of Forest. KPK CM Pervaiz Khattak was also accompliced   Imran Khan.

 

While talking to media Imran congratulated KPK government for the billion tree campaign in province. Imran added that we are planting trees to save the future of Pakistan.

 

Government is not interested to protect forests as large trees of Changa Manga Forest have been erased while Rajanpur forest has been occupied by a PML-N politician.

 

Imran further stated that $ 100 billion have been collected throughout the world to overcome global warming and the biggest part of the amount will be given to KPK because such large number of trees have not been planted anywhere in the world.

 

Students of different schools and colleges also participated in trees planting campaign while traditional music arrangements were also made by government at the occasion.
