LEAs arrests 13 terrorists having links with banned outfits
KARACHI: Police and LEAs conduced raids in different areas of Karachi here at Tuesday and arrested 13 terrorists including agents of banned outfit Lashkar-e-Janghvi.

 

As per details, Police and LEAs conducted raid here at Nazimabad, area of Karachi on the tip-off intelligence agencies and detained 10 alleged terrorists.

 

According to police, the arrested accused were involved in heinous crimes including attacks on former president Musharraf and murder of Shukat Raza, PSO Director.

 

The arrested accused were also involved in attacks on police, Rangers and lawyers. Police spokesperson claimed that the arrested terrorists have association with Mufti Shahid Group of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.

 

Huge cache of arms and ammunitions including 2 Kalashnikovs, 4 TT pistols, detonators, 4 hand grenades and bullets were also recovered from their possessions by police.

 

In another raid, CTD arrested 3 terrorists from Mangho Pir and recovered arms and ammunitions from their possession.

 

According to In-charge CTD Ali Raza the arrested terrorists have been identified as Usman Naeem, Muhammad Umair and Imam Din and they have links with Commander Fahad Group.

 

CTD In-charge further revealed that the accused Umair got his engineering degree from a private university and he was working on drone technology for banned outfit.

 

The second accused Usman was involved to provide weapons to banned outfit while third accused Imam Din was involved in distributing hatred literature.
