ECP hands over security of elections in tribal districts of KP to Pakistan Army

Election Commission of Pakistan has handed over security of elections in tribal districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Pakistan Army.

According to notification, Pakistan Army will make all arrangements for holding peaceful elections on sixteen seats of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly to be held next month.

Printing of ballot papers and transportation of election results will also be conducted under the supervision of Pakistan Army.

In this regard, Army jawans will be deployed at printing press from fifth of next month. They will be posted at all polling stations from eighteenth to twenty-first of next month.

The Commission has asked to keep additional troops of Pak Army as reserve force for maintenance of peace in the merged districts during the election.
