KABUL - The security scenario in the capital Kabul seems to be deteriorating with each passing day as now a report has surfaced of kidnapping of the United Nations female staff member in the Kabul.

The woman was reportedly on her way to drop her child off at school before work when abducted.

A UN staff member and her child were kidnapped early Monday morning in Khair Khana in Kabul city, sources confirmed to TOLO News.

The woman had reportedly been on her way to drop her child off at school before heading to work when she was abducted.

This comes after a day when the Afghan Taliban attacked the Kabul Intercontinental Hotel and killed at least 43 people including over a dozen foreigners.

Kabul Intercontinental Hotel is located inside the high security zone and such a brutal attack has raised serious eyebrows over the deteriorating security in Afghanistan.
