ISLAMABAD - Pakistan cricket team has suffered another defeat in the first T-20 match against New Zealand after being whitewashed by the hosts in ODI series.

In the first T-20 competition of the three-match series played at Wellington, Pakistan showcased poor performance as only two batsmen entered the double figure taking the total target to 105 runs.

Babar Azam scored 41 runs off 68 deliveries while Hasan Ali made 23 runs off 12 balls while no other batsmen could face the New Zealand bowlers.

Seth Rance and Tim Southee bagged three wickets each while Mitchell Santner sent two batsmen back to the pavilion.

While chasing, the black caps surpassed the target 15.5 overs for the loss of only three wickets, thank to the unbeatable and blistering 49 runs of Colin Munro.

Tom Bruce and Ross Taylor scored 26 and 22 runs respectively. Among the Pakistani bowlers, only Rumman Raees could show some performance bagging two wickets but in vain.

Colin Munro was declared man of the match. The hosts now lead the three T-20 matches series 1-0.
