Khawaja Asif responds over media reports of fleeing abroad due fear of NAB arrest
ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Khawaja Asif has responded over the reports of fleeing abroad due fear of arrest from NAB.
He has rejected reports of him fleeing abroad and said that he is in the US to meet his daughters and will return to Pakistan soon.
Asif said, “I am in the US at the moment visiting my daughters and will return soon”.
He added that media reports regarding him fleeing were baseless.
Theformer foreign minister’s family is already in the US, whom he joined two weeks ago after being asked to stay back by former premier Nawaz Sharif. However, reports stating that Asif fled the country to avoidbeing caught by National Accountability Bureau have been floating around.
