SC directs to restore Multan's old courts

The Supreme Court has issued directions to restore judicial complex Multan to its earlier location within ten days.

A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the case.

The bench while hearing the case observed that there had been complaints by lawyers and litigants about lack of basic facilities and amenities at New Judicial Complex Multan.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan visited the premises along with the members of the Bar and Judges of the Lahore High Court present at Multan and Sessions Judge Multan to verify genuineness.

He found a large number of deficiencies of basic facilities there.

On the report submitted by Deputy Registrar, the bench observed that the environment for the purpose of holding courts and administering justice is not congenial.
