Non Formal Basic Education Community Schools in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (APP): Around 12,304 Non-formal Basic Education Community Schools (BECS) are functioning across the country.
Among these institutions, 5,687 schools are in Punjab while 1,674 school are facilitating children in Sindh, followed by 1399 serving in Khyer Pakhtunkhwa and 607 in Balouchistan to educate future youth, official sources of Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training told APP.
They further informed that 2013 are rendering services in Azad Jummu Kashmir besides 1425 in Gilgit-Balistan. In Islamabab Capital Territory (ICT) 248 informal schools are providing basic education to the children.
