Karachi moves from 6th to 68th position on crime rate on World Crime Index, tweets DG ISPR

*RAWALPINDI: Director General (DG) Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor on Monday appreciated the efforts of civil administration and security forces for massively improving the security situation of Karachi.*

From DG ISPR’s official Twitter account, Ghafoor tweeted a picture of Karachi’s ranking on the world crime index from 2012 until 2019.

Karachi at one point in time (2014) was 6th in World Crime Index. Alhamdulillah, today it’s at 70th with many first world cities behind. Credit to team of Civil Administration & Security Forces esp Int, Police & Sindh Rangers. Also to the citizens of Karachi. More stability IA

Paying gratitude to Allah, the military’s spokesperson wrote that Karachi is at 70th position, “with many first world cities behind.”

He further gave credit to team of civil administration and security forces, especially, police & Sindh rangers for such accomplishment. The DG ISPR also praised the citizens of Karachi.
