Afghanistan: 17 militants killed in clash between militants, Govt. troops

KABUL: In Afghanistan, seventeen militants have been killed and eleven others injured in a clash between militants and government troops in Chak district of Wardak province.

According to the Afghan army’s statement, the clash flared up in Lawala and Ali Khil areas of Chak district.

The statement said the security forces would continue to chase militants elsewhere in the restive province to ensure lasting peace there.
