ISLAMABAD (APP): Protests across Indian Held Kashmir against arrest of APHC Leaders
Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) organised protests in Shopian, Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) on Friday against the continued illegal detention of its Chairman, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, and the house arrest of All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani.
Holding banners, the protesters demanded immediate release of Shabbir Ahmad Shah who was arrested on February 24 from his residence, Kashmir Media Service reported.
Addressing the protesters, Tanveer Ahmad, termed Shabbir Shah's detention as frustration of the authorities and they have no justification for keeping him behind the bars.
Condemning the continued house imprisonment of Syed Ali Gilani, the speakers termed it a blot on the face of so-called democracy of India.
