Preparations start for two new dams: Report

RAWALPINDI - Government has started the preparations for the construction of Dodocha and Chahan dams.
Petroleum Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan and MPA Wasiq Qayyum will visit the site of Chahan dam and review the on-going work. Qayyum also said that the construction of the dams will begin this year, while the Chahan dam will be constructed by 2021.
The total cost of the Chahan dam construction will be around Rs5 billion and it will provide 6million gallons of water to around 0.25million homes in the NA-59 Rawalpindi constituency.
