PM Imran Khan reportedly been offered bribe money for relief

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has been reportedly offered money to relax over the accountability process, media has revealed.

He himself has revealed that someone approached him and offered money for “relief” from accountability process.

Talking to a group of senior journalists, the PM said that the government has strong evidence to maintain that the country was looted by past rulers and their cronies and none will be spared in the transparent accountability process supported by the federal government.

Sources said PM claimed that he was approached and offered money to allow someone to evade the accountability process but he declined to give any leeway to such criminals.

The prime minister, however, made it clear that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was an independent institution and his government had no direct links to it, adding that corruption cases against the opposition leaders were not initiated during his tenure.
