Orange Line Metro Train Project challenged in Lahore High Court

LAHORE: Orange Line Metro Train project has been challenged in Lahore High Court LHC by the advocate Azhar Siddique. Azhar filed a petition to stop the work on the project. The petitioner took stance that all the necessary requirements were not fulfilled by the government before starting project. The area for the orange line metro train project was not acquired under the Land Acquisition Act. People are facing a lot of problems because their daily routine of life has been paralyzed due to the project. Environmental survey was also not done for the project. So orders should be given to the government to stop work on the project.
